How Baby Atlas differs, and when to pick something else.

Most baby trackers log the same three things, so a feature list is a poor way to choose between them. What follows is what Baby Atlas does differently, and the cases where another app is the better answer. Written by the person who makes it, so read it with that in mind.
What Baby Atlas does differently
Three things, and everything else is table stakes.
- Logging without opening the app. An Apple Watch app, an interactive home-screen widget that starts and stops a feed or a sleep from the widget itself, a Live Activity for the running session, and lock-screen widgets. On a day with a dozen feeds, the difference is measured in minutes of unlocking a phone.
- A daily check-in that is about you. Energy, body, mood, sleep and support, with trends and guided breathing. It is private to the person who wrote it, so a co-parent sharing the same child cannot read it. No other tracker in this list has an equivalent.
- Nothing tracking you. No third-party analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no App Tracking Transparency prompt, no ad network. Care data is never used for telemetry.
